The Irish National Photographic Awards Exhibition returns to Galway city this week, to the Eyre Square Centre in the heart of the city. The exhibition will be on display from this Monday July 26th to Monday August 16th.

Eamonn O’Boyle, Chairman of the IPPA Western Region will officially open the exhibition.  Among the pictures on display will be those of Neil Warner, who won the Pictorial & Travel Best Image Award 2010. Neil is just one of many photographers whose pictures will be on display at the Eyre Square Centre in the Irish National Photographic Awards Exhibition. The annual IPPA Awards cover a variety of different categories, including Best Portrait, Best Press and PR Portfolio to name but a few.

Some years ago, Neil hit the headlines when he survived a helicopter crash off the West Coast of Ireland and fully submerged in Killary Harbour. Neil is one of only 28 Master Photographers in Europe, is Irish Architectural Photographer of the Year 2008 and is a previous winner of the title British Landscape/Travel Photographer of the Year.

Photographs will be on display at the Exhibition from photographers in nearly every county in Ireland. Visitors will be able to see the Best of the Best in landscape, children, portrait, fine art and wedding photography.  The Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) founded in 1949 has been serving the interests of professional photographers and dedicating itself to the improvement of their standards in Ireland for over half a century.
